1. What stays on your device
Your shopping list, your settings (ZIP code, filters, units), your saved receipts summary and spending tracker, and a random ID we create so your points add up. These are kept in your browser's storage. Clearing this site's data removes them.
2. What we receive

We do not collect your name, email, phone number, precise location, contacts or payment details. TrohnGrocery has no sign-in.
3. Receipt scanning
When you scan a receipt, the app makes the photo smaller and reads it. Depending on the setup, it's read either on your phone (it never leaves your device), or by our server using Anthropic's Claude AI service, which returns the item lines and prices. We don't store the photo; only the prices you choose to share are saved. Please cover anything personal on a receipt, like a member number or card digits, before scanning.

5. Affiliate links
Some buttons, like "Get it delivered" or "Buy at Walmart", are affiliate links. If you buy something after tapping one, we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. It never changes which store we show as cheapest.
6. Your choices
You can use TrohnGrocery without sharing anything. To remove everything on your device, clear this site's data in your browser. Prices you've shared are anonymous, so we can't tell which are yours. If you want a specific shared price removed, email us the store, item and date.
7. Children
TrohnGrocery is meant for adults doing household shopping. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
8. Your rights, including California and other states
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what we hold about you, to delete it, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of your information. We don't sell or share personal information for advertising. To ask about your rights, email us.
9. Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. Important changes will be noted in the app.
